Festive attire

JCrew Anthro

Dokohama2 KateSpade

I’ve got dresses on the brain. We’re going out for a fancy Christmas dinner with a group of friends next weekend, so of course I am thinking about my outfit. Some late-night browsing resulted in these finds—none of which I will actually be able to wear (buy). But aren’t they all pretty? I wish I had time to sew something special for myself. Hmm, velvet, silk…

I will probably go with a classic black sheath and black suede pumps which I already own and buy some bright red tights and sparkly earrings. That’ll do it.

Oh my goodness!!

Yellowboot

Can you believe these boots? They are so beautiful I could almost cry. Especially because I will likely never own a pair—although I have learned recently that one should never say never. So maybe…some day…I could be so lucky. There is power in positive thinking, right? Not sure if I like the yellow or green best. The lace-ups and knee highs are mind-bogglingly cute too! Swedish Hasbeens discovered via Angry Chicken.

On another note, I am feeling very inspired to make one of these.

At last but not least, thanks so much to those of you who shared your favorite books with me. I have a couple of them on hold at our library and am so looking forward to diving in. It was really nice to get the book recommendations but even nicer to “meet” some of you who haven’t yet commented. Thanks!
